Botulinum toxin type A (there are many brands such as Botox, Xeomeen among others), is a substance used for facial rejuvenation. It is applied to the muscles that cause wrinkles or expression lines, which help to temporarily remove wrinkles or expression lines: it is a toxin that, once injected, prevents the muscle from contracting, that is to say, it paralyzes it, in this way the wrinkle does not form. Its effect is temporary and lasts about four or six months, depending on each patient.
